Starting Over and why

My Blogging haven’t been to great lately
so I am starting over!
What my last blog didn’t have was a theme
The new Theme will be:

Finland and Finnish
things
got something that I should have had in my blog? ideas? news?
TELL ME!

Why that theme?

- well, I can just say this from the start that I am a Heartagrammer, Himster, whatever you want to call it I am a fan of the Finnish Love Metal band called H.I.M.

But that is not the only reason I like Finland, probably from I was a brat, Finland have been a magical land for me, with myths, trolls and everything else a kids imagines could find in the big green woods and 1000 lakes of Finland. When I got older the magical dream got destroyed by the grown ups and logic. My interest for the Finnish language and even for the Sami language(especially Yoik) continued over the years. Over and over again I was reintroduced to Finnish. When I searched for interviews with HIM I found allot of interviews done in Finnish and old recordings that Ville Valo(front man in HIM) had done. Later on I also started to listen to other bands from Finland.

Pretty much from the start I had a secret dream about being able to speak Finnish, at that time I never came to my mind that I could teach myself Finnish or take lessons, not before recently. After a random Google search(I am almost too embarrassed to say it) it all came to me, all the info and ideas I needed.

Why on English?

- I am Norwegian, but I don’t want a Norwegian blog because I am “international” I like international things, it’s nice to practise my English and also be open to a wider public.

- I couldn’t do it in Finnish because I can barely say my own name and where I am from in Finnish, I want to learn it but English is safer. Also most of the information about Finland and Finnish is in Finnish or Swedish so this is for you out there that likes the same as me but isn’t Finnish or understand the language.. Yet ;)

Why the Name?

- “Cyanide Sun” is a song by HIM so the title of the blog is inspired by that song. I also think that Under The Cyanide Sun sounds mysterious and cool.
